HISTORY

PCO, Inc. began in 1991 as a creative design studio specializing in public relations and visual communications. Our entry into the convention industry started in 2001 through promotional planning work for the Toyama International Conference Center. Building on that experience, we officially established PCO, Inc. in 2003 as a dedicated convention and event management company.

Today, we lead the planning and execution of a wide range of conventions, from international conferences to academic symposia. Our strength lies in delivering cohesive communications and promotional strategies that unify the overall image of each event. We make sure our clients shine with every detail, from design to execution.

In December 2021, we developed Smart Conference, an online platform designed to support the success of conferences and events through both digital and on-site technologies. Created by a company specializing in academic conference management, the platform centralizes a wide range of operational data, minimizing human error in secretariat work and enabling faster, more efficient responses.

In December 2024, we launched a DMC division based in Toyama with the aim of creating new value for local communities. By curating unique content rooted in the Hokuriku region—its one-of-a-kind natural landscapes, rich history and traditions, and vibrant food culture—we design and propose exclusive, tailor-made tour experiences.

Today, PCO Co., Ltd. focuses on its convention business, including MICE planning and management, while developing a diverse range of initiatives in response to changes in local communities and society. Through these efforts, we continue to create new value.
